The Ground Beneath Your Feet by Chryse, 68 K, explicit. PTSD. Sherlock comes back from a secret mission broken in body and spirit. Mycroft finds a composer position for Sherlock at an Abbey, and with music, and visits from John, he struggles to find his way back to wholeness. This is a stellar story with spies, and falcons and flashbacks - so well written!

Scars - 3 part series  by mildredandbobbin, mature & explicit. Over time, John uncovers how Sherlock was tortured and raped during his two years away. John steps in with some sexual healing. Angsty and hot, and a good fix-it fic for series three at the end. (Locked to AO3 users)

Landscape with the fall of Icarus by caitlinfairchild, 4 k, teen and up. This is a very clever “fill in the blanks” fic that describes what happens to Sherlock at the beginning of series 3. Some torture, and PTSD, and Mycroft to the rescue.

Command Structure by 221b_hound, 49 k , explicit. John knew Sherlock wasn’t dead after Reichenbach, but he’s still surprised to find him dressed like a tramp at 221b one night. To help Sherlock deal with his PTSD, they set up a little game. John wears his army fatigues, and Private Holmes wears the dogtags.
